The outlet (10) has forming frames (20) and outlet slats (30, 40) provided with an outlet aperture (60). A display unit (50) is arranged in the outlet aperture and provided with a turning pressing actuators. The turning pressing actuators select a temperature adjustment mode or a fan setting mode in an air conditioning apparatus. The turning pressing actuators are turned to stop the air conditioning apparatus in an operating mode if the temperature adjustment mode is selected. A display panel (190) displays an adjusted temperature level of the turning pressing actuators. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an air conditioning apparatus.
