<p>The method involves using an electrical machine by application of an electrical-regenerative brake torque for recuperation of kinetic energy of a vehicle as electrical energy. A friction brake i.e. electromechanical friction brake, and an electrical-regenerative brake system are continuously controlled during a braking process, and a portion of a total brake delay of a vehicle is readjusted so that a portion of the kinetic energy released by the brake system of the vehicle is maximized, where the portion of the kinetic energy is useable for recuperation. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle brake system.</p> |
