The illumination device has an illumination source (101) to emit the light through an illumination beam path on a to-be-illuminated object (106). The positionable transparent or semi-transparent, self-luminescent layer (103) of the illumination beam path is formed with the single-controllable regions to provide a position-dependent light correction. The luminescent layer is formed as an electroluminescent layer.
