The holder (9) has a fastener (10) fixed to a steering wheel of a vehicle, and a retainer (11) for an operating and/or display unit (8). A connector (13) is provided for an interface i.e. universal serial bus (USB) interface, for communicating the display unit with an external device e.g. smartphone. The connector is designed as a socket (14) i.e. USB socket, and a plug i.e. USB plug, is connected to the connector. A contact pin is connected with the connector, and the retainer has a lower part and an upper part.
