PURPOSE: A lithium manganese oxide is provided to prevent performance degradation due to manganese elution because of an extremely small specific surface area. CONSTITUTION: A lithium manganese oxide is a powder which comprises a compound represented by chemical formula 1: : Li_(1+x)[Mn_(2-p-q)M1_pM2_q]O_(4-a)A_a, has an average specific surface area of 0.47 m^2/g or less, has an average particle diameter of 6-20 micron, and is used a positive electrode active material. In chemical formula 1, x is 0-0.2, p is 0-0.2, q is 0-0.2, a is 0-0.2, M1 is a monovalent, divalent or trivalent element, or a combination thereof, M2 is an element of which melting point is 800 °C or less in an oxide shape, or a combination thereof, A is an element of -1 or -2, or a combination thereof. |
