PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical probe.SOLUTION: A medical probe includes a flexible insertion tube having a distal end for insertion into a body cavity and a proximal end. The medical probe further includes an electrode which is attached to the distal end of the insertion tube and comes into electrical contact with a tissue in the body cavity. An electrical conductor wire is passed through the insertion tube between the distal end and the proximal end. In addition, a coil is brought into contact between the electrode and the conductor wire in the insertion tube, thereby defining a resonance circuit which has a resonance frequency in a range of 1-300 MHz.
