PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus adjustment device that can perform an optimal control of a focus adjustment.SOLUTION: The focus adjustment device comprises: a focus detection part 21 that detects a focus adjustment state of an optical system having a focus adjustment optical system 32; and a control part 21 that can perform a first focus adjustment control of inhibiting a drive of the focus adjustment optical system after driven to an in-focus position of the focus adjustment optical system on the basis of a detection result of the focus detection part, and a second focus adjustment control of driving the focus adjustment optical system in accordance with a focus adjustment state of the optical system after driven to the in-focus position of the focus adjustment optical system on the basis of the detection result of the focus detection part. When continuous shooting is started during the first focus adjustment control, the control part changes the first focus adjustment control to the second focus adjustment control. |
