The invention relates to a hybrid drive train (1) and to a method for controlling a friction clutch (4) of a hybrid drive train (1) of a motor vehicle, comprising an internal combustion engine coupled by means of a freewheel (10) to a gear input shaft (3) of a gearbox in order to transmit the engine torque and an electric machine (5) starting the internal combustion engine and/or driving the motor vehicle. In order to be able to operate the drive train (1) in a safe manner and to avoid overdimensioning of the friction clutch (4) due to high sum torques, a torque applied to the friction clutch (4) is limited to a predetermined transmission torque transmittable via the friction clutch.
