An operation method of a mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention includes sensing whether pressure is applied by using a plurality of sensors; detecting a level of the pressure; entering a call recording mode for recording a conversation in case the detected pressure level is bigger than a standard value and a user is on a phone; and entering a memo mode in case the detected pressure level is bigger than the standard value and a user is not on a phone. The method enables a user to easily and conveniently use functions and to rapidly perform a predetermined motion or the functions, thereby improving user convenience.
