The present invention consists in a method for aligning silver nanoparticles, which have been sintered in non-aqueous microemulsions. This method is useful for aligning silver nanoparticles in an isolated form, i.e., without being melted therebetween, being aligned lengthwise long distances, and up to microns. The current state-of the-art includes complicated procedures, which use sophisticated laboratory equipment such as the deposition technique assisted by ion beams or the lithography technique. On the other hand, this process is easy and based on the capacity of the microemulsions to form defined geometries depending on the relation of the components. The microemulsions form elongated cylindrical-shaped structures in which inner portion the silver nanoparticles are synthesized, therefore when the microemulsion is dried, the majority agent (Isoocatane) is evaporated and allows the enlarged cylinder arrangement to be organized forming a crystalline arrangement best known as hexagona l phase with the subsequent organization of the nanoparticles contained within the cylinders.
|
