PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering control unit capable of ensuring control stability even if a gain in a process of obtaining an auxiliary torque command value from a steering torque gets larger.SOLUTION: An electric power steering control unit 1 including auxiliary torque determination means 14, which obtains an auxiliary torque command value on the basis of a steering torque that works on a steering wheel 3, and feeding the auxiliary torque command value to driving means 18 that drives a motor M includes: gain estimation means 13 that estimates a gain K in a process of obtaining the auxiliary torque command value from the steering torque; a low-pass filter 15 that filters a signal or the auxiliary torque command value in the process of obtaining the auxiliary torque command value from the steering torque; and changing means 16 that changes the frequency characteristic of the low-pass filter 15 according to the estimated gain K. The gain estimation means 13 estimates the gain K using a map in which the gain K is continuously changed along with a change in the steering torque. |
