PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, a control method therefor, and a control program, capable of allowing a user to visually check camera information inside a finder even under dark environment regardless of during continuous photographing operation.SOLUTION: A display 40 for displaying prescribed information relating to an imaging apparatus is disposed between a finder 16 and a movable mirror 12. A photometry sensor 15, disposed on a subsequent stage of the display, receives a reflection light from the movable mirror and measures the luminance. A light source 39 illuminates the display. When a micro computer 42 calculates the brightness of a light source on the basis of the luminance calculated by the photometry sensor for controlling the light source, the light source is turned off when the photometry sensor carries out a photometry, while the light source is turned on when the photometry sensor does not carry out a photometry. |
