PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner that achieves both low-temperature fixability and heat-resistance storage stability, provides high-quality images for a long period of use, has a small particle diameter and a narrow particle size distribution, and is formed of a plant-derived material.SOLUTION: A toner for electrostatic charge image development includes toner particles containing a binder resin and colorant. The binder resin contains a copolymer of an amorphous polyester having the glass transition point of -20°C or more and 35°C or less and a poly L-lactic acid; the poly L-lactic acid is contained in the binder resin in the amount of 50 mass% or more and 80 mass% or less relative to the total mass of the binder resin; and the toner particles contain an organic compound including a crystalline resin of an optical isomer (D body) of the poly L-lactic acid and/or a structure of an optical isomer (D body) of the poly L-lactic acid, as a crystallization nucleus agent of the poly L-lactic acid. |
