PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of regulating developer with a regulating member in a more suitable manner and suppressing an increase in temperature of a contact part between the regulating member and a developer carrier, an image forming apparatus, and a process unit.SOLUTION: A developing device 4 includes a developer carrier such as a developing roller 42 that carries developer such as toner on the surface thereof where concave parts 42b and convex parts 42a are formed, and conveys the developer to a developing position arranged opposite to a latent image carrier 2 such as a photoreceptor; and a regulating member such as a doctor blade 45 that comes into contact with the developer carrier to regulate the amount of the developer conveyed to the developing position. A contact part of the regulating member with the developer carrier is covered with a material having the coefficient of dynamic friction with the developer carrier lower than that of the regulating member. |
