The purpose of the present invention is to provide a light source device which adapts to a floor-standing position, a ceiling-hung position, and a lateral installation position, and is able to appropriately cool a valve and/or a sealing portion. A light source device is provided with: an arc tube having a valve and a sealing portion; a reflector having a concave-shaped reflection surface; a blower; first to third flow paths into which gas from the blower flows: and a gas quantity adjustment plate. The gas is jetted from the first flow path toward the sealing portion, the gas is jetted from the second flow path toward a first portion far from an installation surface of the valve, and the gas is jetted from the third flow path toward a second portion close to the installation surface of the valve. The gas quantity adjustment plate is rotatably pivoted, and is movable so as to bring at least two of the first to third flow paths into an open state according to the rotational state. |
