The battery has galvanic cells (200) electrically connected with one another, where each cell comprises a cell housing (210) with a degassing opening (220). A battery housing (230) partially encloses the cells and has a safety valve (240) that is provided for outwardly discharging overpressure in an inner area of the battery. Conducting elements (250) are arranged in an inner side of the battery housing and spatially arranged at a distance from the degassing openings. The conducting elements gas flow-technically guide fluid and/or gas towards the safety valve.
