The control element (10) has a control surface (14) in which user instructions for a component of the motor vehicle is input. A user tactile surface structure element (20,22) is arranged in the control surface which is made of glass. The user tactile surface structure element is made of ceramic material to perform screen printing on the control surface by sintering or burning the control surface. The user tactile surface structure element defines and controls the partial surface (18) of the control surface. An independent claim is included for method of manufacturing control element.
