The hydrostatic machine (1) has a housing (2) and a drive shaft (10) rotatably connected to the engine (12) is accommodated in the housing interior (96). A hydrostatic displacement pump (52) is provided, through which leakage oil from the housing interior is discharged. The displacement pump is coupled with the drive shaft. The speed of the displacement pump in response to the rotational speed of the drive shaft is variable.
