A base-type connection device for testing liquid crystal displays (LCDs), comprising a pressure plate (2) and a conductive rubber rod (1); said conductive rubber rod (1) is provided with a plurality of conductive rings (11) capable of respectively corresponding to connection electrodes (31) of an LCD (3); said pressure plate (2) is disposed above said conductive rubber rod (1); a base (5) is disposed below said conductive rubber rod (1); said base (5) is provided with base conductive electrodes corresponding to said conductive rings. An LCD (3) requiring testing is positioned on said conductive rubber rod (1) and said pressure plate (2) is positioned above the connection electrodes (31) of the LCD (3). The inherent physical characteristics of the conductive rubber rod (1) allow said rod (1) to deform slightly under pressure from the pressure plate (2), ensuring that said conductive rings (11) are in full contact with the connection electrode (31) of the LCD (3), thus guarding against the abrasion of the connection electrodes (31) of the LCD (3). |
