PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave oven capable of performing sufficient cooking.SOLUTION: The microwave oven comprises: a heating chamber that houses an object to be cooked and on the wall of which an opening is opened; a door for opening and closing the heating chamber; a magnetron for generating microwaves to heat the object to be cooked; an infrared sensor faced to the heating chamber via the opening and detecting temperature of the object to be cooked; a door opening/closing detection part for detecting opening/closing of the door; and a blower fan arranged in a space communicated with the heating chamber via the opening. A blowing period during which the blower fan is driven for a predetermined period after completing cooking is provided. In opening and closing the door during the blowing period, when a difference T1-T2 of detection temperature of the infrared sensor before and after opening and closing the door is larger than a predetermined value Ta, the blower fan is stopped, and when the difference is smaller than the predetermined value, the blower fan is brought into a driving state. |
