<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: contamination of a member caused by detachment of an external additive included in a toner 38 degrades printing quality. <P>SOLUTION: Blurring and contamination in the initial stage of printing, caused by the amount of an external additive adhering to a toner 38, can be prevented by using a toner 38 having a particle diameter of 4.0 [μm] to 6.5 [μm] and satisfying 0.74≤(α-γ)/γ≤1.10. Further, blurring and contamination caused by the amount of the external additive adhering to the toner 38, in which the external additive is detached due to pressure and friction against a developing member in a developing device 30 where the rotation number of a developing roller 33 is 25,000, can be prevented by using the toner 38 having a particle diameter of 4.0 [μm] to 6.5 [μm] and satisfying 0.40≤(β-γ)/γ≤0.68. Changes in the density caused by the detached external additive can be also suppressed by using the toner 38 satisfying 0≤(α-β)/γ≤0.28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
