PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific part recognition device of a workpiece capable of promptly recognizing the position of a specific part of the workpiece. SOLUTION: This is the specific part recognition device for recognizing bolt holes 7, 8 as specific parts of a workpiece 1. The device includes a camera 2 for taking an image of the workpiece 1; an articulated robot 3 for holding the workpiece 1 imaged by the camera 2; and a recognition region limitation means 9 for calculating a workpiece-holding position by the articulated robot 3 based on a coordinate system of the articulated robot 3 and limiting a recognition region of the camera 2 to a peripheral region including the bolt holes 7, 8 as the specific parts based on a relative positional relationship between the workpiece-holding position and the bolt holes 7, 8 as the specific parts.
