PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which it is impossible to diagnose an abnormality in a device itself for detecting a minimum value of voltages (in-block minimum value MINi) of a plurality of battery cells Ci1-Cin.SOLUTION: Each voltage of battery cells Ci1-Cin is input into an electric potential converting circuit 50 through a multiplexer MPX. An output of the electric potential converting circuit 50 is connected to a cathode of a diode 60, and anodes of the diode 60 are short-circuited. A voltage at a connection between the anodes is a minimum value of the voltages of the battery cells Ci1-Cin. In the multiplexer MPX, as an input of the electric potential converting circuit 50, a reference voltage Vref can be selected instead of a battery cell Cij. The reference voltage Vref is a value which cannot be envisaged as a voltage of the battery cell Cij in an normal use. Hence, the presence or absence of an abnormality in the electric potential converting circuit 50 can be diagnosed on the basis of the output thereof in an application of the reference voltage Vref. |
