PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for grinding/cleaning the surface of a concrete wall, by which the large-area vertical surface of the concrete wall of a water storage tank for storing city water or the like can efficiently be ground/cleaned by using a water jet. SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 for grinding/cleaning the surface of the concrete wall includes: a base machine 14; a vertical direction slide guide part 16; a horizontal direction slide guide part 19; and a water jet tool 13 including a water jet injection nozzle 11. The base machine 14 comprises a base part 23 and a traveling part 22. The vertical direction slide guide part 16 comprises: a vertical direction fixation guide part 17 to be fixed on a supporting stand 21 on the base part 23; and an elevation guide part 18 to be raised/lowered along the vertical direction fixation guide part 17. The horizontal direction slide guide part 19 has the length being almost three times as long as the width of the water jet tool 13 and can be raised/lowered along the elevation guide part 18.
