PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of an electric vane pump at an initial stage of starting. SOLUTION: This electric vane pump includes: a stator 72 wound with a coil 724; a motor rotor 71 having an outer periphery covered with the stator 72 and rotated by a rotating magnetic field formed by the stator 72; a rotary shaft 5 rotated integrally with the motor rotor 71; a nonmagnetic pump rotor 61 having a plurality of slits 63 opened in an outer peripheral surface 61a and rotated integrally with the rotating shaft 5, a soft magnetic cam ring 62 storing the pump rotor 61 in a cam surface 62a on an inner periphery; soft magnetic vanes 64 slidably stored in the slits 63; and a soft magnetic pump housing 2 provided with a storage section 21 storing the cam ring 62. The inner peripheral surface of the storage section 21 of the pump housing 2 is made to abut on the outer peripheral surface of the cam ring 62, and also a part of the pump housing 2 is made to abut on the stator 72.
