The holder (1) has a unilaterally open receiving section (5) for receiving a vertical portion of a shower bar, and has a constriction structure (6) with a projection (7) and whose clearance is less than lateral length of shower bar. The receiving section is provided with a surface (13) that has high friction coefficient with respect to surface of shower bar. A supporting device (8) has a receptacle with a constriction structure for receiving horizontal portion of shower bar. A selectively insertable fixing unit is provided in region of constriction structure.
