A terminal block arrangement comprises blocks of two types arranged alternately, one type 10, 11, 12 carries permanent conductors 101-104 to the bottom of which the incoming conductors are joined, and the others 13, 14, 15 carries slantwise ducts 131-134 through which outgoing conductors pass for connection to the top of the permanent conductors. As shown, the permanent conductors 101.. 104 are wires moulded in the block but in a further embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) they may be metal inserts which only partially fill parallel passages in the block so that bared conductors may be pushed into the ends of the passages to make electrical contact with the conductive inserts. In a further embodiment (Fig. 4, not shown), the terminal block arrangement consists of 10 blocks each of which has 5 duets and is sandwiched between a pair of blocks each having 10 conductive contact members. The whole arrangement except for the outgoing optional conductors, of which there can be two pairs per duct, is formed into an integral unit with up to 200 conductors forming a cable permanently connected, and sealed with a self-hardening plastic, to the 200 conductive contact members. The blocks are provided with ribs and grooves so that they may be fitted together.
