<p>A complex cam system is capable of using a compound needle as a knitting needle. A needle raising cam (3), a transfer cam (4), and knitting cams (5, 6) act on a butt provided in a needle body of the compound needle. A slider cam (7) acts on a butt provided in a slider of the compound needle. Guide paths (8, 9) in transfer for the needle body and the butt of the slider are constituted with delivering paths (8a, 9a) and receiving paths (8b, 9b), and switched from knitting paths (8c, 9c). In the delivering paths (8a, 9a), a transfer operation by the compound needle (20) can be carried out smoothly using two knobs in a three knobby-shaped paths.</p> |
