The platform assembly comprises a number of load bearing members 71, 70, 74, a number of corner connecting assemblies 7 adapted to connect two load bearing members together at the corner of the platform, a number of flooring sections, number of fixing means adapted to fix the corner assemblies to a pad or pile. The corner assemblies also include a rotatable washer 8 incorporating a slot or elongate aperture, to allow adjustment of the fixing means within the corner assembly. The corner assemblies may be constructed from two parts which connect together to form a unit and may also incorporate outwardly extending flanges which are secured to the load bearing members. The platform assembly may also have intermediate assemblies 6 which are used to connect two load bearing beams together between the corners of the platform. Also claimed are a corner assembly and an intermediate assembly each incorporating a cylinder and a number of flanges for attaching to load bearing members. |
