The present invention is characterized in that a guidance device for teaching a vehicle operating method, includes an operation receiving unit configured to receive an operation of starting or stopping an engine, or to receive an operation of starting or stopping a travelling system including at least an electronic motor; a power control unit configured to control a defined power mode according to the operation received by the operation receiving unit and a state of a vehicle; a stop detecting unit configured to detect stopping of the engine or stopping of the travelling system while the vehicle is travelling; a stop factor determining unit configured to determine whether a factor of the stopping of the engine or the stopping of the travelling system is a man-caused operation based on the power mode; and a guidance unit configured to change a guidance content according to whether the factor is the man-caused operation.
