A pipe clamp assembly (30) including a band (32) having an inner annular seal element (34) wrappable around a pipe, opposing clamp members (36) that extend from the band (32) and which are formed with mounting holes (38), at least one tightening element (40) for clamping together the clamp members (36), the tightening element (40) passing through the mounting holes (38), and a bushing (46) placed in the mounting hole through which the at least one tightening element (40) passes, the bushing (46) having a hemi-spherical cap portion (48) and each mounting hole being correspondingly shaped with a hemi-spherical concave shape to accommodate therein the cap portion (48).
