The airbag cover for covering an inflatable airbag in a vehicle comprises two sections, the first of which consists of a more dimensionally stable material than a second section which includes an opening section and in which during deployment of the airbag the opening for the airbag is formed. The cover in the opening section has at least one tear line (21) which is formed by a material weakening and which tears when the airbag is deployed. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an airbag module for an occupant restraint system in a vehicle, including the aforesaid airbag cover; and (2) a steering wheel with the aforesaid airbag module. |
