The present invention relates to a flexible display unit which has a bend-proportional resistance variable sensor unit (H) outputting the bending degree of a flexible display substrate (G) as a variable resistance value as the core of operation; compares the variable resistance value outputted from the bend-proportional resistance variable sensor unit to a reference resistance value, and then determines the position and the degree of bending of the flexible display substrate (G) as much as the difference of the comparison; and applies a controller (C) utilizing the determined result as a function signal to take advantage of the flexibility of the flexible display device.
