The present invention relates to a sensor protecting device for exposing a sensor operating under water or under oil to water pressure only in an actual using state. The present invention provides the sensor protecting device comprising: a main housing including a main cylinder connected to a sensor part, and an assistant cylinder whose diameter or width is smaller than that of the main cylinder; an open and close rod for opening or closing the main cylinder from the external environment through the assistant cylinder by being operated inside the main cylinder and the assistant cylinder; and an operation lever connected to the open and close rod to control operation of the open and close rod.
