An electrode is made by mixing two incompatible resins and active material and dissolving one out as disclosed in Specification 946,306. In order to incorporate silver oxide which would produce a redox system, the oxide is first mixed with one resin and then reduced to silver before mixing with the second resin which already incorporates another electrode material.
