A surgical retrieval apparatus (100) includes an elongate flexible tubular member (110) having a distal opening and a lumen and a support member (140) having a chamber formed therein in fluid communication with the tubular member and movable from a first position to a second expanded position in response to introduction of fluid into the chamber. A retrieval bag (130) extends from the support member and has a first end (132) and a closed second end (134). The first end of the retrieval bag is movable to an open configuration when the expandable member transitions from the first position to the second expanded position.
