<p>A travel bag system comprises a bag (10, figure 2) having a substantially rectangular base and an opening at the top, the system further comprises at least one substantially rectangular, rigid or semi-rigid, tray 38 having at least one compartment 38c, said tray being fixed or removably received within the bag. The travel bag system is particularly useful for the storage and transport of equipment and clothes required for babies and young children. Also disclosed is a travel bag system including a rucksack (24, figure 2) removably attachable to one end of a bag. Further disclosed is a travel bag including a cover which may lie substantially flat on a surface when the cover is in an open configuration (figure 3).
