Class 38(5) A snap action electric switch as described in Specification 762,045 which utilizes a snap acting vane member disclosed in Specification 761,713 [Group XXXII] is modified to include a further pair of co-operating contacts to control an auxiliary circuit. A snap acting vane 10 snaps between two positions to operate the main pair of contacts 25, 35 to operate a pair of flashing signal lamps SL-1, SL-2, a pilot lamp PL being provided to indicate fault on the system, the pilot lamp being controlled by a further contact 60 which is secured to the vane 10 at a corner 12 thereof adjacent the end of the deformation, the contact 60 co-operating with a fixed contact 55 secured to an insulating base 40. The arrangement may be such the contacts 55, 60 may be normally open or normally closed according to whether the pilot lamp is required to light in synchronism with, or alternately to, the signal lamps. |
