摘要 The present invention relates to an EGW cooling apparatus control system and a method thereof and, more specifically, to an EGW cooling apparatus control system which controls the temperature of a copper shoe part so that the temperature of the copper shoe part is suitable for welding by using the copper shoe part connected to a vortex tube part, a throttle valve installed at the copper shoe part and a control unit, and to a method thereof. In the EGW cooling apparatus control system of the present invention, a cooling system of an air-cooled copper shoe apparatus comprises: a vortex tube part which receives compressed air and produces cool air and warm air through a cool/warm air production chamber; a copper shoe part which receives the cool air outputted from the vortex tube part and circulates the cool air through a pipe fluid path formed in a body; a throttle valve capable of successively adjusting an opening angle in order to emit the warm air generated from the compressed air inputted in the copper shoe part; and a control unit which senses physical parameters from the compressed air and outputted cool air and adjusts the values of the physical parameters by controlling the valve angle of the throttle valve. The EGW cooling apparatus control system and the method thereof of the present invention automatically control the temperature of the circulated air (cool air) of the air-cooled EGW cooling system which uses the vortex tube changing the compressed air into air with the temperature of less than 0 and circulates air cooled in the inner space of the cooper shoe part containing serpentine flow fields developed for optimizing air cooling efficiency, thereby preventing the melt down of the cooper shoe part, improving the productivity of EGW welding and securing the integrity of a welding unit.
