A neighbor list managing method and a mobile communication system adopting the same are provided to perform the deletion and re-registration of a neighbor list systematically in consideration of the TCE use rate and handoff use rate. The first margin rate of a TCE(Traffic Channel Element) use rate for a monitoring BS(Base Station) is set up(S310). The TCE use rate for the monitoring BS is monitored at the first cycle(S320). If the TCE use rate exceeds '1 - the first margin rate', a neighbor list which the monitoring BS has is searched(S330,S340). The monitoring BS is deleted from the second neighbor list which neighbor BSs included in the first neighbor list(S350). |
