Disclosed is a Vent peg device, used for fermenting purposes when used on metal casks containing Beer/ Ale. Item 1 is the lower member having a uniform taper along its longitudinal length, an internal threaded portion 4 is positioned at the upper part whereby the thro' hole 2 is an extension of the root diameter of the said thread 4. Item 3 is the upper part having a male threaded part 5, compatible with the said thread 4. A handle item 8 provides an easy facility for item 3 to be screwed both inwards and outwards of item 1. A'O' ring type seal (not shown) is fitted in the u / cut 9, providing a Hermetic- seal between the two members It and 2. Two additional holes 6 and 7 aids in preventing a vacuum developing when the system is in use. |
