In two-for-one twist apparatus, the stationary part of the apparatus on which the bobbin is mounted is provided with an oil-cup having ducts and members whereby the circulation of oil is promoted centrifugally to bearings between the stationary oart and a guide-tube for the thread which is rotatable with the spindle proper. The bobbin is carried by a part 8 which is held stationary, a flange 108 thereof being connected by a pin 10 to a flange 9 which is held by magnets 11, 12. Inside the part 8 mounted on bearings 6, 7 is a tube 4 coupled to a disc 2 with a radial duct 3 and rotated with the driven spindle 1. The flange 108 forms a cover for an oil-cup 13, the inner wall of which is received between a hub 102 and a bell 14 connected to the disc 2. Fixed inside the cup is a bush 15 forming a chamber 16 in which the bell 14 rotates. Oil passes to this chamber through ducts 17 on to a flange, teeth, or blades 114 of rotating bell 14 and is forced centrifugally through ducts 25, 24, 22, 23 to reach upper bearing 6. The oil returns to the chamber over bearing 7. The bearings are positioned by a bush 18, and nuts 19, 20 on the tube 4. Between the upper section of the bobbin-carrying part 8 the tube 4 is fitted a hollow member 26 forming an extension of tube 4 and over which is fitted the bobbin which has conical flanges 227, a spring-urged connector 28 being provided which passes through fixed part 8. |
