摘要 An NMR system comprises a measurement space 14 containing a sample vial 1 with a temperature-control fluid 8 flowing around it from an inlet 10 to an outlet 2, and a temperature sensor 9 contained in a sensor tube 15 through which a proportion of the temperature control fluid flows. The temperature control fluid is controlled in temperature by a heater 12. Some of this fluid flows along tube 15 from an inlet 26 inside the measurement space to an outlet 18 outside the measurement space. The tube 15 contains the supply wires for the temperature sensor 9; the flow of fluid inside the tube controls the temperature of the supply wires and prevents temperature penetration along the supply wires into the measurement space. The wall of the sensor tube 15 may be made at least partially from an electrically conductive material to act as an RF shield.
