The present invention relates to a prefabricated barge and a method for expanding a shipyard space using the prefabricated barge. The prefabricated barge comprises: a body which is manufactured as a plate form having a width and height length larger than the thickness based on predetermined standards; and a connection unit which is provided on the side of the body to be connected to other prefabricated barges, and composed of a connection part protruding to the outside from the side of the body and a connection groove with which connection parts formed on other prefabricated barges is combined to be connected to the body. The prefabricated barge and a method for expanding a shipyard space according to the present invention are provided to connect multiple standardized barges so that multi-purpose spaces such as inner walls, a steel material yard, a block yard and a pre-erection yard, which are required by a shipyard, can be used.
