The invention relates to an appliance cover (1) comprising a front side (15) and a rear side that is opposite the front side. Said front side is oriented away from the inside of said appliance if the appliance cover (1) is built into said appliance. Said appliance cover (1) is made of, in at least one display area (7, 9, 11, 13), a light-permeable material for the light of an illuminating agent of a display device, in particular an LED-display. Particles are introduced at least into the material making up the display area (7, 9, 11, 13) for ensuring a dispersed diffusion of the light emitted by the illumination agent.
