The present invention relates to a system and a method for remotely controlling a terminal and comprises a master terminal for searching an external device connected with wired communications or near field wireless communications when a sensing program is operated, for transmitting a remote control application operating request signal to the searched external device when a key event is sensed, and for transmitting sensing information including key event information and terminal information to the external device; the external device for operating a remote control application when the remote control application operating request signal is received from the master terminal, for transmitting the remote control request signal including the sensing information to a remote agent device when the sensing information is received from the master terminal, and for outputting an operating screen of controlled terminals by receiving the operating screen from the remote agent device; the remote agent device for extracting the controlled terminals including terminal information corresponding to the terminal information by searching a database when the remote control request signal is received from the external device, for transmitting the remote control signal including the key event information to the extracted-controlled terminals, and for transmitting the operating screen received from the controlled terminal to the external device; and at least one controlled terminals for executing operation corresponding to the remote control signal received from the remote agent device and for transmitting the operating screen to the remote agent device.
