摘要 Light-weight hybrid materials with significantly-reduced coefficient of thermal expansion, low density, and high durability in the aggressive environment such as low-earth orbit are disclosed. The high performance polymer materials can include epoxy, cyanoester, bismalmeide, polyimide, vinylester, polyamide, polyacrylate, and others; with their applications as matrix in the carbon fiber-reinforced or glass fiber-reinforced composite. The fillers for the hybrid include one or two or all, of the following components: the layered-silicate, negative-CTE powder, and low-density material.
