PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pad for a disk brake which adapts to variation of braking performance caused by frictional heat.SOLUTION: A friction member 3 has two grooves 5 at its friction surface to abut against a disk rotor. The two grooves 5 have outer peripheral edge points 6 that are crossing points between the respective grooves 5 and an outer peripheral edge of the frictional member 3 and have a smaller value of a mutual spacing than L/2 when a longitudinal size of the friction member 3 is denoted by L and inner peripheral edge points 7 that are crossing points between the respective grooves 5 and an inner peripheral edge of the friction member 3, and the two grooves 5 approach each other more as they advance from the points 6 toward the points 7. |
