PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a resistance welder, which can perform smoothly the rising and falling movements of a positioning guide pin and can perform the welding operation precisely while preventing the warpage of a horn for holding the electrode.SOLUTION: Disclosed is an electrode for a resistance welder, in which a vertically movable guide pin 5 is built in the upper end portion of a tubular electrode holder 3 and in which the electrode holder 3 is mounted on the lower portion side of a C-shaped frame 21. To the lower end portion of the electrode holder 3, there is attached a cylinder holder 11 having a cylinder 12 mounted therein for moving the guide pin 5 upward and downward. To the lower end portion of the cylinder holder 11, moreover, a stick-shaped rod member 8 is attached downward. The electrode holder 3, the cylinder holder 11 and a bar member 8 are connected in a straight line, and the rod member 8 is grounded at its lower end to the ground surface G. |
