PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the performance effect of an illumination light in the cage 15 of an elevator.SOLUTION: According to a first embodiment, an illumination device 11A for an elevator comprises: a plurality of sets of light source units 23a to 23j mounted as a pair of LED light source groups 23c1 and 23c2 on a ceiling face 15A belonging to a cage 15 of the elevator; a plurality of sets of guide light paths 23a3 to 23aj3 each having a pair of partition plate members 23b3b and 23c3b extending across axes 23c11G1 of the light rays emitted from the paired LED light source groups 23c1 and 23c2; and an illumination cover member 12A. The paired LED light source groups 23c1 and 23c2 are set at such an inclination with respect to the ceiling face 15A of the cage 15 of the elevator that the axes 23c11G1 of the light rays emitted from the light source may be oriented to the internal space of the cage 15.
